This is the Apis cerata, or Asiatic honeybee, the first that I've heard of that can defend the hive against...

Vespa mandarinia, the Asian giant hornet.

Although the Asian giant hornet can sting through even a typical beekeeper suit, among other things, not to mention overpower most other bees, so far I have heard of one means of defence that has kept the respective populations in check: the Asiatic honeybee won't just attack the Asian giant hornet, but lure her in instead while waiting, after which the ambush to the end. I've never seen either beyond media, but if you've ever seen one or are currently seeing either species, I'd recommend keeping a very safe distance because these hornets and bees mean business!

On a lighter note, it'd be rather silly to try racing either one, wouldn't it?
